A brand born from obsession with proportion, material, and the quiet power of the right frame.
VISAGE was founded in 2019 by a small team of designers and opticians who shared one belief: that eyewear is not an accessory — it is architecture for the face.
We spent two years studying the work of the finest frame makers in Japan, Italy, and Germany before producing a single piece. When we finally did, every hinge was hand-tested, every acetate sheet was sourced for consistency, and every frame was worn for six months before release.
That rigor is still in place today. We release new designs slowly, deliberately — because the right frame takes time.
Explore Our Work"We do not make eyewear for everyone. We make it for those who notice the difference between good and extraordinary."— Arief Kusuma, Founder of VISAGE
Every frame begins with material selection. We use only Mazzucchelli acetate from Italy, beta-titanium alloys, and hand-buffed stainless steel — no shortcuts, no substitutes.
Our designers obsess over millimeters. Bridge width, lens height, temple curve — every dimension is calculated against real face geometries before a single prototype is made.
No visible logos. No unnecessary embellishments. Our frames speak through form alone — the mark of confidence that needs no announcement.
We launch 4–6 new styles per year, not 40. Each one is worn for six months internally before reaching customers. Speed has never been our language.
Our acetate offcuts are recycled into accessories. Packaging is FSC-certified, unbleached, and plastic-free. We believe refined taste includes how things are made.
We partner with artisan workshops in Sabae, Japan and Belluno, Italy — places where frame-making is still considered a vocation, not just a job.
Each design begins with hand sketches — studying face shapes, proportions, and cultural references from architecture and fashion history.
Acetate sheets are selected by hand — checking for color depth, pattern consistency, and surface quality before any cutting begins.
Machined prototypes are sent to five internal wearers across different face types. We iterate until fit is flawless on all of them.
After a minimum six-month internal wear period, approved frames enter production. Each piece receives a unique serial number.
